Sense of self and Connectedness
Quote from Sherry Kevech on May 9, 2023, 6:15 pmHello! I just finished day 8 and am so happy to have found this program.
Today I was wondering about the difference between how the things we associate with ourselves relates to our interconnectedness with all consciousness. Is it just mere misplacement? Any thoughts?
Thank you
Sherry

What I've learned from this program is that whatever "situation or event", that we give personal meaning to ends up on our self map, or attached to self. I have learned that I just simply stay in awareness, and as a thought pops in. I just notice it. I don't judge it and just let it be there without giving it any meaning. It is powerless and has no emotional power. As I practiced "the Me", or "the I". This is where I sort of figured this out. It was sort of like a light just came on.
As I started looking at how I was giving meaning to all these different things, that was when I realized that I have all these useless beliefs about things. When as I started questioning those beliefs I realized that wow. This is how we create our reality. Behind everyone one of those beliefs was as Sean puts it. An Expectation, Preferrence, as compared to a Perception.
As I stopped trying to give everything meaning and just let it be as it is. I found myself becoming more clear headed. Didn't matter what came up. I stopped becoming attached to situations or things.
