Confusion with self map
Quote from Hector Mayoral on November 9, 2020, 4:44 pmThis might be my too technical brain playing around here, but I have trouble comprehending the self map. I see it as like an X,Y graph, but I don't understand how things can fall between the four elements
For instance, how are ideas and accomplishments on the opposite sides of the spectrum, and life story and people also. If I have a person that is semi-close, I can see putting it in between the top 'people' point and the central point, but how would this person be set further left or further right?

Quote from Lucy Temple on January 3, 2021, 5:19 amI've had this confusion as well, but I am having a hard time coming up with things to add to my self map. family, job, etc. But when I find myself having an emotional reaction, I find it hard to figure out the thing that needs to be added to my self map. AND how would I move something off the self map if I don't really know what belongs there? I think I'm going to have to go back and watch all those earlier lessons to figure this out.

Quote from Jason Bost on February 8, 2021, 7:49 pmi am having the same issue. most of my emotional reactions are results of impatience/punctuation/selfishness. If they are little things like "long lines at the grocery store" etc how do we tie that to the map? am i impatient because i feel threatened by the long line? Would that be <ME at the center dot? I may need to go back and re watch too lol
